Episode 16: Vestige Hotels - Son Ermità, Menorca
How do you manage a 5-star hotel with an 800-hectare estate on a remote Spanish island?

Son Ermità’s front courtyard looks over the northern section of the famous Camí de Cavalls hiking path, with the coastline’s jagged edges punctuating the rolling hills of Menorca’s north coast. Nicknamed the “hard walk”, travellers find an oasis of luxury within Son Ermitá’s grounds; luxury that is underpinned by their fleet of Ranger Kinetics.
Vestige’s new fleet of all-electric Ranger XP Kinetic is utilised across the 800-hectare estate by both staff and guests. For Vestige, the Kinetic’s electric powertrain is the perfect solution, delivering silent operation that allows staff to maintain grounds and service guest areas without disrupting the serenity of the resort.
The Kinetic’s industry-leading 110 HP, 140 lb-ft of torque, and long-travel suspension give the team the power to comfortably traverse steep and rocky climbs to its private beach. The 567 kg rear bed capacity is essential in enabling the hotel's farm-to-table philosophy, allowing chefs to transport fresh produce from their farms to the kitchens of their restaurant, Brisa. A battery range of up to 70km (Premium trim)* gives Vestige the capacity to reach every corner of their vast estate and still make the climb home, and recharging overnight for the next day’s tasks. The Ranger XP Kinetic fleet allows the team to operate efficiently without disrupting the guests.
The hotel’s story begins as an 18th-century farmhouse, with echoes of this history dotted throughout the property. Vestige’s Madrid-based architectural team is firmly committed to faithful and sympathetic restoration.
